The Soul Care is a non-clinical, peer-based community focused on: psychoeducation about mental and emotional well-being, support for academic-related stress, peer mentoring and active listening (non-clinical), and resource sharing and awareness-raising on mental health topics.

Previously, we used the term “Mental Health Consultant” for volunteers with a bachelor's or master's degree in psychology. However, this title does not indicate a clinical or licensed role.

To prevent confusion, we are currently transitioning to a new title that better reflects the non-clinical, peer-support nature of this role.

No. Our volunteers are not licensed psychologists or therapists. They are psychology graduates, postgraduates, or students who offer non-clinical peer support through a structured, ethical approach.

In that case, The Soul Care may not be the right fit for your current needs. We strongly encourage you to reach out to: a licensed mental health professional, a hospital or mental health center, or the National Mental Health Helpline on 1926 (free, 24/7).

The Soul Care is designed for students and young individuals who: want to learn more about mental health and well-being, need support in managing academic stress, are looking for peer mentorship and a safe, non-judgmental space, or wish to be part of a community focused on education and awareness.
